I am Origen, a boutique hotel reborn from the ruins of ancient Dominican history. I embody an unprecedented concept in hospitality, a new proposition in interior design, operation, administration, and business.
I was built in 1530 on the street Arzobispo Merino in the colonial area of Santo Domingo. This is the most antique part of the city — and, to me, the most beautiful.
I am the connecting point between my colonial past and the sizzling modernity of America’s first city.
Come and chill on a bed around my pool to get that perfect tan, or hang around on my lounge terrace or my cocktail bar. I have a small tapas menu, ambiance music and DJs on the weekends. By the morning, the smell of coffee starts to fill the ambiance. Accompanied by the sun and the singing of the birds, my guests are woken up by nature. Hipnotized by the roasted smell, they reach the entrance and get straight to Café De Aquí, our café at street level, serving craft coffee and a healthy approach to café food classics and pastries.

Something is being cooked in my kitchen. It’s a fusion of a modern Latin American kitchen with the Spanish legacy that influenced the culture of a significant part of the continent and the pride and joy of Caribbean cuisine.

My spaces offer state-of-the-art services and amenities for customers looking to take care of their physical and mental wellness. As a part of the experience, you’ll find personalized wellness classes for small groups, including yoga, cardio, sound meditation, and outdoor running, among others. Inquire with my concierge.
Santo Domingo Antiguo is my Origen. My neighbors are buildings like the Cathedral Primada of America or the Alcazar of Colon. We grew up around the same time, and we’ve seen how Santo Domingo thrived until becoming the cosmopolitan city it is now.
We offer my spaces for private events, adapting to the number of people and the needs of the client. Including a wide variety of dishes, cocktails and open bar service.
